Girls' Waterfall Raglan in modal jersey

Soms is eenvoud zo ontzettend mooi. Gewoon een blauw jurkje, leuke legging eronder en klaar! Wat extra bonuspunten voor zwier en een extreem zachte stof en ik heb een hele blije dochter. Hef hoeft niet altijd ingewikkeld te zijn.

Sometimes less is more. Like a simple blue dress and matching leggings, nothing more. Some bonuspoints for the twirl factor and ultra soft fabric and I have one happy daughter. Easy does it this time.

Toaster Sweater #1 Yay or.... Nay?

Ik had alle juiste ingredienten. Een patroon dat me echt aansprak Toaster Sweater #1, En de perfecte stof een hele dikke wol jersey met voldoende structuur zodat de col blijft staan. En toch... ik ben niet overtuigd...

All the right ingredients. A pattern that appealed to me: Toaster Sweater #1. The perfect fabric: a thick wool jersey with enough structure to keep the turtle neck up. But.... the end result simply does not convince me....

X-mas Sirocco dress

Tijd en naaien zijn hier in een constante strijd met elkaar. Zeker in de drukke decembermaand lijkt het wel een onmogelijke missie om naaitijd te vinden. Heel frustrerend wanneer je eigenlijk een mooie feestoutfit wil naaien. Maar gelukkig was daar de Sirocco dress van Coffee & Thread!

Time and sewing, it is a constant struggle... Especially during the busy december month it is like a mission impossible to find time to sew... Very frustrating, especially when you have your heart set on making your own Christmas dress. Luckily a new pattern came to the rescue! It is the newest Coffee and Thread pattern, the Sirocco top and dress.

Party outfit for cute girls

De kerstvakantie is nogal tegenstrijdig, tenminste.... als het op outfits aankomt... Aan de ene kant is ze gevuld met pyjama dagen, maar dat is voor een andere blogpost. Aan de andere kant wordt er gestraald in feestkleren. Dit jaar lukte het me op het nippertje om nog wat te naaien. En ik ben zo blij dat ik dat heb gedaan. Voor mij is dat echt het gouden randje aan de feestelijkheden om mijn meisjes te zien stralen in iets zelfgemaakt.

Christmas break calls for very diverse outfits. On the one hand days are filled hanging around the house in our pj's (more about those in another blogpost). On the other hand it is the time of the year to really dress up. This year I managed to sew my youngest a last minute party outfit. I am so happy that I spend some time on this outfit. It really adds that silver lining to any party to see my girls shine in something self-made!
