Velvet Waterfall Raglan

Dit is de winter van velours lijkt het wel. Eén voor één rollen er shirtjes, rokjes en jurkjes onder mijn machine door. Feestelijk en toch comfortabel, dat is win-win!

Een mooie velours Waterfall Raglan kon niet ontbreken in mijn dochters garderobe. Toen dit patroon gelanceerd werd verschenen direct al verscheidene versies in velours. Dit jaar kon ik me niet meer inhouden en maakte er ook één. In een mooie petrol kleur die haar zo mooi staat. Ik maakte er direct een mooie legging bij om de outfit heerlijk kleurrijk en fanatsaievol te maken.

This is the winter of velvet it seems. One after the other I create velvet shirts, skirts and dresses. Festive and comfortable at the same time, that is truly a win-win situation.

A velvet Waterfall Raglan could not be missing in my girls wardrobe. Immediately after this pattern was launched there was an explosion of velvet waterfall raglans. So it was about time that I joined in on the fun. I choose a deep petrol colour that suits my girl so well. To go with this dress I made a matching legging that adds some colour and fantasy to the outfit.

De Waterfall Raglan van Chalk & Notch is inmiddels een vaste waarde in de garderobe van onze meiden. Een echte meisjes jurk die heerlijk zit en geweldig zwiert. Meer heb je niet nodig! Door de print op de stof heb ik deze herfstversie de (Under)Waterfall Raglan genoemd.

The Waterfall raglan by Chalk & Notch has become a wardrobe staple in my girls' wardrobes. It is a true girly girl dress, that is very comfortable and spins perfectly. What more could a girl wish for? Because of the print on this one I decided to call this the (under)Waterfall Raglan.

Soms is eenvoud zo ontzettend mooi. Gewoon een blauw jurkje, leuke legging eronder en klaar! Wat extra bonuspunten voor zwier en een extreem zachte stof en ik heb een hele blije dochter. Hef hoeft niet altijd ingewikkeld te zijn.

Sometimes less is more. Like a simple blue dress and matching leggings, nothing more. Some bonuspoints for the twirl factor and ultra soft fabric and I have one happy daughter. Easy does it this time.

Eén van de allerleukste dingen aan naaien is dat er echt altijd wel wat te leren valt. Zelfs na jarenlang naaien gaat er nog regelmatig iets mis..... Zo ook met dit patroon van Chalk and Notch, de waterfall raglan jurk.... die toch een top werd....

The world is her red carpet

Als er iemand is die een jurk met sterallures kan dragen alsof dat een vanzelfsprekendheid is dan is dat wel de oudste dochter. De feestoutfit voor de oudste krullenbol deed dan ook zeker niet onder voor die van de jongste dochter. Ze kreeg eindelijk een al heel lang vurig gewenste maxi jurk. En niet zomaar één... eentje met maxi zwier: de Top Knot dress van Chalk & Notch.

My eldest girl has the rare talent to be able to wear a gown as if it is her every day wear. The whole world is her red carpet. So as you can imagine the partyoutfit for my eldest was no less festive the the one for my youngest girl.... I finally made her something she had been asking for so long: a maxi dress.
