Challenge accepted - Brooke dress

De afgelopen tijd stikt het van de challenges in de (sociale) naaiwereld. In de challenges worden naaisters uitgedaagd om volgens bepaalde regels te naaien. Zo besloten Guus van Stoffenfeest en MaMarieke onlangs een challenge te organiseren waarbij je drie criteria opgelegd krijgt waar jouw creatie aan moet voldoen. En ik besloot mee te doen... Superspannend want je weet van tevoren dus totaal niet wat je te wachten staat. Ik werd gekoppeld aan Linda van Relax'm Mode. Zij mocht twee criteria opstellen en de organisatoren Guus en Marieke stelden een derde criterium. Met lichte spanning opende ik het document met criteria....

The sewing community is overflown with all kinds of challenges recently. I really liked the challenge two dutch webshop owners (Stoffenfeest and MaMarieke) were organising. You would be challenged to sew by three criteria. Very exciting as you do not know what you were getting into .... I was matched with  challenge buddy Linda of Relax'm Mode. She got to give me two criteria and the organisers added a third one. I was beyond excited on the day we all got to see what kinda trouble we got into.... Slightly nervous I opened the file with all the criteria.....

Velvet plissé

Dat dit de winter van velours is, dat schreef ik al eerder. Dus konden daar ook nog wel twee velours plissé rokjes bij. Een eenvoudig naaisel met groots resultaat. Het werd direct de basis van een hele outfit, want ik maakte er meteen nog een shirt en knuffelig vestje bij.

This the winter of velvet before. So I thought I'd just as well add two velvet pleated fabric skirts, right?! A simple project with great result. But what is a skirt without a matching top? Right... I simply had to sew a matching top and cuddly vest as well.
